Wearing her Princeton Class of 1987 Jacket, actress Brooke Shields returned to her Alma Mater on Monday to speak at a long time Princeton tradition called ‘Class Day', according to the Record. Shields, who is currently preparing to take over the role of Morticia Addams in Broadway's, THE ADDAMS FAMILY, was invited by the Class of 2011 to offer advice and reminisce about her days at the Ivy League University.

"Twenty four years ago I was sitting right out there where you sit today," remembered the actress. "My hair was huge. My Reeboks white. My jeans acid washed. You were not even born."

Shields shared some of her more interesting college experiences with the graduates, including a tabloid reporter who attempted to get nude photos of her in the dorm shower and having her school record printed in Life magazine. "I left after four years with unique memories and unique stories." joked the actress.

Shields admitted she was quite surprised when she received the invitation to speak at the event. "Was I their first choice?" she wondered. "Who couldn't they get? Why did Snooki pass?" Yet despite her own momentary insecurity, Shields urged the graduates to appreciate the tremendous achievement they had just reached. "You did it," Shields said, "Enjoy that truth!"
