Bronwen Coleman presents her solo play Mrs. Barry's Marriage, for 6 nights only. Performance dates are October 14 - 23 at the 45th Street Theatre. Directed by Anna Jones (LAByrinth's Jack Goes Boating).

"In Mrs. Barry's Marriage, Vera Barry, a conventional Aussie housewife, is a woman of great complexity. Despite recent heartbreaks, she was keen to present a kind of "She'll be right" attitude. A vivaciousness in the face of hardship. Over a cup of tea one morning, she tells us her story. A story of love, loss and betrayal, laced with a very Australian kind of determined brightness: even as she choked on her words, she'd get this wild gleam in her eye and say, 'Well, what can you do? You must keep on, mustn't you?'" state press notes.

Bronwen Coleman arrived in New York from her native Australia six years ago to undertake her MFA at The Actors Studio Drama School, where she was awarded the Liberace ScholarshipArtistic Excellence. Bronwen has recently been seen as Barbara in Capote, the Academy Award winning film starring Philip Seymour Hoffman, Cassandra in "Law and Order: Criminal Intent," opposite Vincent D'Onofrio, and as June in LAByrinth Theater Company's Pretty Chin Up at The Public Theater. She originated the roles of Hilary in But I'm a Cheerleader and the title role in Alice, both at the BMI Musical Theater Workshop. Prior to her arrival in the US, Bronwen trained as a writer/director at the Victorian College of the Arts School of Film and TV, one of Australia's most stringent film schools. She has written a number of films including the feature Almost Grown Up, and a teleplay for the one hour drama Little Us, currently in development. Bronwen travels yearly back to her homeland to visit her family and their noisy but lovable Chihuahua cross Mokey. www.BronwenColeman.com
