Deadline writes that ABC's daytime talk show THE VIEW has finally zeroed in on its new co-hosts.
Broadway's Rosie Perez (just announced for Larry David's FISH IN THE DARK this spring) and political commentator Nicolle Wallace will replace Sherri Shepherd and Jenny McCarthy, who left the show last month.
Perez and Wallace have both appeared as guest-hosts on THE VIEW -- Wallace, former communications director for George W. Bush, tried the gig three times.
Perez's other Broadway credits include The Ritz, Reckless, The Play What I Wrote and Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune.
She has appeared on television in Widows, Frasier, Lipstick Jungle, Law & Order: SVU, THE CLEVELAND SHOW and more. Among her recent film credits are The Counselor, Gods Behaving Badly, The Being Experience, and the upcoming movie Five Nights in Maine.
As previously announced, Rosie O'Donnell makes her triumphant return to daytime television as a featured co-host of THE VIEW and will be seated opposite the show's moderator Whoopi Goldberg. THE VIEW will stay committed to the original concept of smart women of different ages, experiences and backgrounds with diverse points of view engaging in thought provoking discussions derived from topics that face our nation and the world. THE VIEW is the original forum for lively conversations generated from entertainment, social media, politics, family, sex and relationships as well as beauty and fashion. THE VIEW is broadcast in HDTV and produced in 2-channel stereo sound. It is available to watch online daily at 4:00 p.m., ET/1:00 p.m., PT on ABC.com. THE VIEW is owned and produced by ABC.
The new season of THE VIEW starts September 15.
