Broadway star and television actress Kecia Lewis has joined the cast of Stewart St John's Tara Tremendous The Musical concert performance at Feinstein's/54 Below on March 28, 2017. Lewis will play the role of Dina Dinosaurus, a super heroine whose powers are derived from ancient dinosaurs and is one of the first heroes to befriend 11-year-old Tara Tremendous after she becomes the world's most powerful super hero.

From originating the role of "Asaka, Mother of The Earth" on Broadway in Once on This Island, to her Theatre for a New Audience debut in The Skin of Our Teeth, Kecia Lewis has built a rich career of portraying powerful mothers and formidable women. Her acclaimed off-Broadway work includes the title role in Mother Courage and Her Children (Classic Stage Company) and the role of Sister Rosetta Tharpe in the Atlantic Theater's Marie and Rosetta. Other roles of note include Trix in The Drowsy Chaperone (OBC), Ida Mae in Leap of Faith (OBC), and Marie, the Fairy Godmother, in Cinderella (1st National Tour). On television, she can be seen guest starring on "Law & Order SVU" (recurring), "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" (Season 2), "Limitless," and "Blue Bloods."

Lewis joins Monkees star Micky Dolenz and Matilda The Musical's Mimi Ryder in the special one-night concert performance, and will lend her voice to the cast album being produced by Wonkybot Studios and Grammy Award-Winner Van Dean, to be released on Broadway Records later in the year.

Tara Tremendous The Musical tells the origin story of 11-year-old Tara Callahan who goes from ordinary to extraordinary overnight when she accidentally inherits the powers of every superhero in the world. The musical features songs by the musical team of Stewart St John and Michael Plahuta. It was adapted for the stage by St John, also a screenwriter and director, based on his #1 iTunes podcast series The Secret Diaries of Tara Tremendous. Dina Dinosaurus was a character introduced in the second season of the series.
