Broadway's Hot Feet Dances to a July 23rd Closing

Sunday, July 23rd will be the final performance for the dance musical Hot Feet, which features the music of Earth, Wind & Fire.

Hot Feet is conceived, directed, and choreographed by Tony-nominated Maurice Hines, with music and lyrics by seven-time Grammy-winner and Earth, Wind & Fire founder Maurice White and book by MTV Books scribe Heru Ptah.  The show is presented by Transamerica and produced by Rudy Durand in association with Kalimba Entertainment, Inc., Meir A & Eli C, LLC, and Polymer Global Holdings.

After an out-of-town run at The National Theatre in Washington, D.C., Hot Feet began performances on Broadway on Thursday, April 20, 2006 (12 previews) and opened on Sunday, April 30, 2006 (97 performances) at the Times Square's Hilton Theatre.

The cast is led by: Vivian Nixon as Kalimba, Mel Johnson, Jr. (Two Gentlemen of Verona, The Lion King, Bob Fosse's Big Deal), Ann Duquesnay (Tony Award for Bring In Da Noise), Allen Hidalgo (Chicago, Kiss of the Spider Woman), Wynonna Smith (Broadway: Sophisticated Ladies; film: Houseguest, What's Love Got To Do With It?), Michael Balderrama (Movin' Out, Urban Cowboy, Saturday Night Fever), Samantha Pollino, and Sarah Livingston.

The cast also includes: Marvel Allen, Kevin Aubin, Adrian Bailey, Brent Carter, Gerrard Carter, Jessica Hope Cohen,l Dionne Figgins, Ramón Flowers, Keith Anthony FluittKarla Puno GarciaNakia Henry, Duane Lee HollandDana Marie Ingraham, John A. The show features sets by James Noone, costumes by Paul Tazewell, lighting by Clifton Taylor and sound by ACME Sound Partners.
