Broadway's CHICAGO to Welcome Back Marco Zunino as Billy Flynn in June

The Broadway company of the Tony Award-winning, record-breaking hit musical Chicago will welcome back Latin-American star Marco Zunino in the role of "that silver-tongued prince of the courtroom" Billy Flynn for 16 performances only, June 1-14, 2015 at the Ambassador Theatre (219 W. 49th St., NYC).

A native of Lima, Peru, Marco Zunino began his acting career at the age of 14, having appeared in several Latin American soap operas and television miniseries. Later, he moved to America to study at New York City's Circle in the Square Theatre School. Upon returning to Lima, Zunino worked steadily starring in television soap operas and miniseries before starring in Latin American productions of Jesus Christ Superstar (Jesus), West Side Story (Tony), Rent (Roger) and Cabaret (Emcee), the latter of which earned him Peru's highest acting achievement in 2009. He earned the same acting honor in 2013 for his performance as Peter Allen the Latin American production of The Boy from Oz. Marco hosts the game show "Escape Perfecto" in Peru and he appears in the film No Estamos Solos opening in theaters through South America in October 2015. He is an ambassador for UNICEF.

Following his stint on Broadway, Zunino will reprise his performance in Chicago for the seven week English language engagement at The National Theater of Korea in Seoul, South Korea, June 20 - August 08, 2015.

Lowe as Mary Sunshine.

With a legendary book by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, music by John Kander and lyrics by Fred Ebb, Chicago is now the #1 longest-running American musical in Broadway history.

Produced by Barry and Fran Weissler, Chicago is the winner of six 1997 Tony Awards including Best Musical Revival and the Grammy Award for Best Musical Cast Recording.

Directed by Tony Award winner Walter Bobbie and choreographed by Tony Award winner Ann Reinking, Chicago features set design by John Lee Beatty, costume design by Tony Award winner William Ivey Long, lighting design by Tony Award winner Ken Billington and sound design by Scott Lehrer.

Set amidst the razzle-dazzle decadence of the 1920s, Chicago is the story of Roxie Hart, a housewife and nightclub dancer who murders her on-the-side lover after he threatens to walk out on her. Desperate to avoid conviction, she dupes the public, the media and her rival cellmate, Velma Kelly, by hiring Chicago's slickest criminal lawyer to transform her malicious crime into a barrage of sensational headlines, the likes of which might just as easily be ripped from today's tabloids.
