Brigid Harrington (Broadway: Mary Poppins, Jane Banks) will perform in concert with legendary singer/songwriter and producer Todd Rundgren as part of Todd Rundgren's Play Like a Champion Concert: Students Play The 80's at the University of Notre Dame on Friday, Sept. 7th.
Harrington's other credits include winning 1st runner up for "Best Stage Presentation" with her Mary Poppins' castmates in Broadway's 23rd annual Gypsy of the Year Competition, playing Susan Waverly in The Walnut Street Theatre's Irving Berlin's White Christmas, Muriel in the Equity East Lynne Theatre's production of Ah Wilderness!, voicing "Koko" on Disney Channel's series Chuggington, along with various feature films and television appearances.
Harrington is a freshman at The University of Notre Dame, double-majoring in Film, Television, and Theatre, and Political Science. She will also be concentrating in Notre Dame's new Musical Theatre minor.
Harrington will make her Notre Dame debut, and is scheduled to sing Rundgren's song, A Dream Goes On Forever, with Rundgren and his band at the DeBartolo Performing Arts Center. Rundgren's concert is part of Notre Dame's Presenting Series and will take place at Leighton Concert Hall at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 7th.
As part of Rundgren's Spirit of Harmony Foundation, which supports music education and performance, the concert will also include performances by music and voice students of the university.
