Elf

Kicking off the festive season in Glasgow, the Pantheon Club brings Elf The Musical to the King's Theatre. Based on the beloved holiday film, this hilarious fish-out-of-water comedy follows Buddy the Elf in his quest to find his true identity. Better book quickly - they've just released the last remaining seats for their nine-show run and are on their way to being sold out!

Mamma Mia!

OK, so it doesn't exactly scream "Christmas", but in the depths of December who wouldn't want to be transported to a Greek island? The Theatre Royal's festive show for 2017/18 is the smash-hit, feel-good musical based around the songs of ABBA.

Alice in Weegieland

Dynamite team Johnny McKnight and Kenny Miller bring Alice in Weegieland to the Tron Theatre this Christmas. After their storming success with The Snaw Queen in 2016, it's safe to say you can expect big laughs, a clever script and tons of glitter!

Sleeping Beauty

The big panto news in Glasgow this year is that The First Lady of Scottish Pantomime has returned to Glasgow! Yes, Elaine C Smith is coming back to the Kings. It's widely regarded as the classic pantomime in Glasgow, and the return of Smith should really reinforce that this year. Expect stunning sets, slapstick and that all important chant... "Bring doon the cloot!"

Cinderella

This Christmas, the Citizen's Theatre presents Dominic Hill's production of Cinderella. More of a festive play than a panto, it's a great alternative for anyone who fancies something a little bit different. Citizen's Theatre productions are typically a little bit darker, and Cinderella is recommended for 6+.

Raymond Gubbay Musicals In Concert: Leading Ladies

I've been attending the Raymond Gubbay show at the Royal Concert Hall for the past few years, and it's always a fantastic night out. So much so that this year when tickets were released I broke my "No internet at Glastonbury" rule and booked for it from my tent. Trust me, it'll be worth it!

While the line-up for these shows are always excellent, they've outdone themselves this year. Leading Ladies features Kerry Ellis, Victoria Hamilton-Barritt, Louise Dearman and Linzi Hateley singing tracks from Wicked, Chicago, Les Miserables and loads more. Raymond Gubbay productions don't tend to go for the obvious with their set lists, so I can't wait to see what's in store this year!
