Broadway Workshop Presents 'The Annie Workshop' With Aileen Quinn

The Broadway Workshop, Manhattans fastest growing acting program for young artists, has teamed up with ANNIE movie star Aileen Quinn for its next one day musical workshop. The Annie Workshop will take place September 28th, 2008 in New York City.

This Workshop will give students the opportunity to work on every area of musical theater performance. The class will focus on giving young actors the tools necessary to help them stand out from the crowd.? Students will work on Song Interpretation, musical theatre audition technique, group singing and dance combinations from the Broadway production of Annie. Students will also get to participate in a Q & A with Miss Quinn.

?We are thrilled to bring Aileen to our students, said Marc Tumminelli director of The Broadway Workshop. ?Giving young actors the opportunity to work with one of the biggest child stars of all time will be an experience they will never forget.

At the age of 9 Aileen Quinn shot to stardom when she took on the title role in the 1982 film version of Annie starring Carol Burnett and Albert Finney. Her other credits include: Tessie in the Broadway Production of Annie, Princess Zora in the film Frog Prince, April Gregory in the world premier Irish play That Was Then, Chava in the National Tour of Fiddler on the Roof, Bet in the Papermill production of Oliver and more recently Annette in the 1st National Tour of Saturday Night Fever. ?Aileen graduated with honors from Drew University and is currently a drama professor at Monmouth University.

This one day class is designed for student?s ages 8-12 and will take place on Sunday September 28th from 12 pm -3 pm. Class will be held at Ripley Grier Studios located at 520 8th Avenue. The cost of the one day Workshop is $150.00
