Broadway's Stars in the Alley will feature the stars of some of Broadway's most popular musicals performing musical numbers in Shubert Alley on June 1st. The free outdoor concert is at 11 AM, and is timed to lead into the Tony Awards.
The annual Star Award will be presented at this year's Broadway's Stars in the Alley to Joel Klein, Chancellor, Department of Education for the City of New York for his support for Broadway theatre by Gerald Schoenfeld, Chairman and Jed Bernstein, President of The League of American Theatres and Producers, Inc.Broadway's Stars in the Alley is produced by the League of American Theatres and Producers, and presented by Continental Airlines, "The Official Airline of Live Broadway." The official sponsors are Sprint and The New York Times, and additional support comes from the New York Marriott Marquis, and Broadway Previews.The concert, which is expected to last for approximately an hour and a half, is located west of Broadway between 44th and 45th Streets.
