As Broadway remains dark, BroadwayWorld wants to make sure that you still get your theatre fix each and every day until it's back. In our daily series Broadway Rewind, we're uncovering footage from the depths of our archives so that you can relive magical moments of Broadway past!
Today we flashback to 2012, when Peter and the Starcatcher arrived on Broadway at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre, where it played for 319 performances. Based on the 2004 novel Peter and the Starcatchers by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson, the play was adapted for the stage by Rick Elice.
The play provides a backstory for the characters of Peter Pan, Mrs Darling, Tinker Bell and Hook, and serves as a prequel to J. M. Barrie's Peter and Wendy. It starred Christian Borle (who won a Tony Award for his performance), Adam Chanler-Berat, Celia Keenan-Bolger and more.
