According to Deadline, Inclusion Media, a company founded by Tony-winning Broadway producer Howard Kagan, has just bid on the now bankrupt Weinstein Company.
The company just submitted a $315 million bid for TWC's film and television assets. The bid also reportedly includes a $25 million settlement fund for the victims of sexual assault from Weinstein, with Kagan promising "co-operation with victims seeking justice."
Armenta Law Firm partner Cris Armenta told Deadline: "Mr. Kagan has a long history of supporting and promoting women and diversity, and has stated that he intends to ensure that the content of the new company is likewise forward-thinking and will serve as a model for the industry. We believe this is the best possible course of action for the class of women who suffered unspeakable harm at the hands of Harvey Weinstein."
Kagan's Broadway producing credits include: Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812, Tuck Everlasting, On the Town, Pippin, The Trip to Bountiful, Hands on a Hardbody and Stickfly.
