'Broadway Off'Leash' Plays the Duplex, 9/13

John Forslund, Exec. Producer of JDProductions ("Bound for Broadway" Cabaret Showcases Sundays @ 9:30 pm at The Duplex) is launching a new charity-cabaret series to begin Monday, September 13th 9:30 PM at The Duplex Cabaret Theatre. JDProductions Gives Back: Broadway Off'Leash. Tickets are $10 with a 2 drink minimum, and all proceeds from JDProductions go to Abandoned Angels Cocker Rescue, a local animal rescue charity in Queens, New York. The benefit concerts will occur one Monday a month, and is already scheduled for Monday October 25th at 9:30 PM.

John Forslund, a performer himself, began producing showcases as a way to get unseen talent on the market. 'Bound for Broadway', his weekly cabaret showcases, are tailored for gaining exposure for beginning actors in the NYC and surrounding areas. He will now be inviting some of his favorite talent back, but this time to raise money for a charity very near and dear to his heart! His own cocker spaniel Humphrey was rescued from Abandoned Angels, and he feels animal rescue is still a pressing matter that needs to be addressed.
