Broadway Meets Joy! In THE GOAL IS ALWAYS JOY At Queens Library  Image New York's own Queens Library presents "The Goal Is Always Joy: How to Thrive in Transitional Times", a fun and entertaining workshop interspersed with musical performances by Broadway's Lauren Elder (Hair, Side Show), Composer/Lyricist Bobby Cronin (Mary & Max, The Cover) and Dream Interpreter Jefferson Harman (Star Dreams Café, Life Unedited Radio).

The panel will discuss how to thrive in difficult times with acclaimed dream interpreter Jefferson Harman, and will perform a mix of original and cover songs relating to the topics. The workshop will revolve around the complexities of the world today and how to stay focused on the prize - joy. The goal of this workshop is to identify conflict, depression and anxiety and help to heal them by engaging community and connection. At the end of the day, all everyone wants is to be happy. A Q&A session with the audience will follow the presentation. Bobby Cronin award-winning composer/lyricist of: Mary and Max (upcoming World Premiere at Theatre Calgary directed by Stafford Arima; winner, Pace New Musicals); The Concrete Jungle (London, cast recording); Daybreak (US & London); Alone in the US (US & UK); and currently writing book, music & lyrics for: W2ML a new pop-rock musical and Psykidz (A Class Act NY commission); music & lyrics for Olisnach featuring Ali Stroker (Spring Awakening, Glee); the music for Christine Toy Johnson's Till Soon, Anne (upcoming NYC reading starring Beautiful's Abby Mueller). Lauren Elder is an actress, singer-songwriter and whistler living in New York City. She has been seen on Boardwalk Empire (HBO), Louie (FX), Law & Order (NBC), in the Broadway and West End revivals of Hair, and the Broadway revival of Side Show. She is regularly seen performing in NYC at 54 Below, Joe's Pub, Birdland, and other local venues. Lauren also writes original music blending the sweet sounds of the ukulele with influences of folk, jazz and pop to create her unique, whimsical sound. As seen on TV and radio, Jefferson Harman captivates his audiences by interpreting their dreams LIVE on the air.
