VIDEO: Broadway Inspirational Voices Launches New Web Series BROADWAY OUR WAY

Tony Award nominee and Grammy award winning Michael McElroy and the Broadway Inspirational Voices launches "Broadway Our Way" , a video series celebrating some of Broadway's greatest tunes performed the BIV way, August 1st on Youtube. The series will present Broadway songs performed in the Gospel style and will feature original arrangements by Michael McElroy and appearances by special guests.

The first video in this series features "No More Wasted Time" from the musical "If/Then", music by Tom Kitt, lyrics by Brian Yorkey, and a celebratory arrangement by Michael McElroy. Orchestration is provided by Isaac Harlan, and performed beautifully by Matt Cataldi on Piano, Jerry DeVore on Bass, and Spencer Cohen on Percussion. The BIV members featured in this premiere video are Danielle Chambers, Trista Doll, Laura Dean, John Kemp Edwards, Stephanie Gerson, Marva Hicks, Jason McCullom, Desiree Rodriguez, Sheri Sanders, Danielle Thomas, Charles West, and Chris Zelno.

Broadway Inspirational Voices (BIV) was founded by Michael McElroy in 1994 as the Broadway Gospel Choir and in 1999 reincarnated to its current name. In 2010 BIV became a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization whose mission consists of providing?HOPE? to ?INSPIRE? and TRANSFORM? youth in need through music and the arts. In addition to numerous concerts, the Grammy nominated choir has performed with award winning artists Mariah Carey, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, STING, Elton John, Vanessa Williams, Heather Headley, Billy Porter and featured on The David Letterman Show, "The Rosie O'Donnell Christmas Special," multiple Tony Awards Telecast, NBC's show SMASH and America's Got Talent. The Broadway Inspirational Voices first album Great Joy: A Gospel Christmas was released on Sh-K-Boom Records and received a Grammy Award nomination. The choir is presently working on recording their second holiday Christmas CD, "Great Joy II: Around the World."
