Broadway Classroom will present its next workshop in the new "Putting it All Together" series on Saturday, January 23, 2010. Taught by Broadway stars Melissa Rae Mahon (CHICAGO, THE PRODUCERS, 42ND STREET) and Sean McKnight (CURTAINS), this innovative 3½-hour workshop includes audition techniques, musical theatre song and movement and a Q&A with Broadway professionals, as well as lunch at Planet Hollywood, and a ticket to see IN THE HEIGHTS.

Broadway Classroom is pleased to announce that Luis Salgado (Assistant Latin Choreographer for IN THE HEIGHTS) will also be taking part in this event.

The all-inclusive workshop is $165 per person, and applications (available at www.broadwayclassroom.com) are due to Broadway Classroom by December 15, 2009. Participants will learn a musical selection and choreography from IN THE HEIGHTS; will participate in a "mock" audition vocal callback in which they will receive supportive, constructive criticism; and will have an opportunity to ask Broadway performers about auditioning in NYC, their path to Broadway, and what it's like to be in a hit Broadway show.

"Putting it All Together" is a new program that allows promising young artists the unique opportunity to study with current Broadway performers. The working theatre professionals challenge participants to surpass the level at which they are currently performing by developing the young professional's skill set. In addition, each participant will receive valuable feedback on their presentation and learn the art putting it ALL together.

Broadway Classroom, a division of Theatre Direct International, is a series of interactive workshops designed to further enhance groups' Broadway experience. Meant to engage students in a variety of theatre disciplines and developed in accordance with the National Standards for Arts Education, Broadway Classroom is a flexible program that offers a variety of customizable workshops for any group.
