The complete Tony Award-winning, Grammy Award-nominated Broadway cast of HAIR is set to give a performance from the smash hit musical on New Year's Eve in the heart of Times Square. Diane Paulus, Director of HAIR, will stage the number, which will air on NBC's "Countdown with Carson Daly." Other musical guests on the broadcast include Green Day and Rhianna.
The HAIR New Year's Eve performance will also be seen internationally over the internet on the first ever Times Square New Year's Eve 2010 WorldWide Webcast. The new webcast will cover all the action in Times Square from the 6pm Ball Raising ceremony to the hourly practice countdowns, stage performances, special guests and the midnight Ball Drop, allowing worldwide viewers to participate in the celebration while focusing on five separate insider story lines throughout the night.
