Broadway Bound Theatre Festival, the only playwright-centric, curated theatre festival in NYC, returns for a second year.
With Fringe rescheduling and MITF closing its doors, BBTF has become the center of the NYC summer festival scene. BBTF is dedicated to creating a new brand of empowered playwrights, knowledgeable of the business side of the industry and ready to move one step closer to creating commercially successful theatre for the bigger stage.
Writers chosen to participate will see their new plays performed at least three times and will receive support from festival organizers, from promotion to critiques by a panel of playwrights and other theater professionals, as well as networking opportunities.
Submissions are now open! Applications are due by Feb. 1, 2018 at 11:59 p.m. EST. Discounted participation fees available for those who get their submissions in early. Visit the website for eligibility and more information: www.broadwayboundfestival.com.
Considering submitting? Come to the free application workshop, 6 - 9 p.m. on Nov. 5, 2017! We'll cover everything you need to know about how to submit your play to BBTF, as well as give a full overview of what being a participant in the festival entails. RSVP via www.broadwayboundfestival.com.
