Longtime pals Bernadette Peters and Mary Tyler Moore will hold Broadway Barks 7! in Shubert Alley on July 30th.

The annual program, which seeks to place pets from New York City animal shelters in good homes, will commence at 3:30 PM
with celebrity presentations of pets from citywide animal shelters taking place between 5:30 and 6:30 PM. Broadway Barks! will feature a slew of animal-friendly stars as presenters--such as Victoria Clark, Billy Crudup, Erin Dilly, Ryan Duncan, Mireille Enos, Harvey Fierstein, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Joanna Gleason, Jeff Goldblum, Danny Glover, David Harbour, Shuler Hensley, Crystal Hunt, Gregory Jbara, Cheyenne Jackson, Ginifer King, Alix Korey, Marc Kudisch, Andrea Martin, Madeline Martin, Marsha Mason, Jan Maxwell, Rue McClanahan, Maureen McGovern, Michael Mulheren, Denis O'Hare, Brad Oscar, David Hyde Pierce, Christopher Sieber, Frances Sternhagen, Jeffrey Tambor and more.

Broadway Barks! works in collaboration with The Mayor's Alliance for NYC's Animals, Inc., which deals with issues of animal care and control, and brings together numerous not-for-profit animal care groups.
Broadway Barks 7! will be produced by Broadway Care/Equity Fights AIDS and sponsored by Animal Planet, Dogsters, The New York Times, Loews Hotels, and Sherpa.  Last year's Broadway Barks! attracted an audience of more than 6,000 theater fans, pet owners, and animal lovers, and featured the participation of more than 24 animal shelters from the New York City area.

"Mary and I are delighted that Broadway Barks! continues to be such a popular event, and we are deeply moved by the enthusiasm and support from the legions of fans and animal lovers who attend the event every year," stated Broadway legend Peters, who adopted her dogs, Kramer and Stella, from the ASPCA and ACC.

Broadway Barks 7!
will also feature an auction of celebrity-autographed memorabilia. Additional auction merchandise will be available via the Internet by logging on to www.eBay.com and using the key words "Broadway Barks." Proceeds from the auction and other donations received during the day will benefit the shelters and organizations attending Broadway Barks 7!.

Shubert Alley is located between 44th and 45th Streets, between Broadway and Eighth Avenue.  In the event of rain, the event will be rescheduled for Sunday, July 31 at 12 noon.
