Some of Broadway's sexiest perfomers will strut their stuff in the latest Broadway Bares,
which will be presented at Roseland Ballroom (239 West 52nd Street) on Sunday, June 18th for two performances at 9:30 PM and midnight.
The R-rated Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS benefit is the 16th edition of Broadway Bares, which was created by Tony Award-winner Jerry Mitchell(La Cage Aux Folles, Hairspray, Gypsy). Last year's Broadway Bares, which brought in a record-breaking $654,000 for BC/EFA, featured stars such as John Selya and Christober Sieber stripping to the vocals of Shoshana Bean and Michael McElroy. A cast for Broadway Bares 16 has not yet been announced.Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (BC/EFA) is the
nation's leading industry-based, nonprofit AIDS fund raising and grant
making organization. BC/EFA is the on-going, committed response from
the American theater community to an urgent worldwide health crisis.
By drawing upon the talents, resources and generosity of theatrical
community, BC/EFA raises funds for AIDS-related causes across the
United States. Since it's founding in 1988, BC/EFA has raised over
$100 million for critically needed services for people with AIDS, HIV,
or HIV-related illnesses.
