Founder and Artistic Director Ben Hartley, and Executive Director Amanda Edge are thrilled to announce the opening of Broadway Arts Factory; a 501(c)(3) triple threat educational institution devoted to the training of musical theatre students between the ages of 11 and 18. Opening September 2012 and running intensively every Saturday around the school calendar year we aim to maximize the potential of every student by ?nding the most passionate and dedicated regardless of their monetary background; thesliding scale of program fees is based on the ?nances of each student's family.

The faculty members are members of the Broadway community who share a passion for arts education. BAF's goal is to train and provide mentorship to the next generation of Broadway performers; the program parallels industry requirements where versatility is the key to success. BAF will inspire, inform, challenge, support, and educate every student that enters their classroom, helping them to fully realize their dream of one day being on the Broadway stage.

BAF is looking for students that are interested in all three areas of musical theatre; dance, voice, and acting. Technique classes will be followed by repertoire classes and there will be other specialized workshops and performing opportunities.

Auditions will take place on June 3rd and July 22nd at DANY studios. 305 West 38th Street, New York NY 10018.

Students should bring form ?tting dance clothes and either jazz shoes or dance sneakers. Please bring sheet music from a Broadway show and be prepared to sing 32 - 64 bars of the chosen song. Please also prepare a monologue that is age appropriate. A theatre dance audition will be followed by vocal and acting auditions.

The audition is free of charge but you do need to register before hand. Please send an email to info@broadwayartsfactory.org to request an application form or call 917-664-4783. If you can not attend a live audition you may submit a DVD or email a URL link to an online video audition.
