Bret Michaels is officially out of the woods, as he has been released from the Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, where he has been undergoing treatment for a brain hemorrhage that he suffered on April 22, today.

Said Dr. Joseph Zabramski, Barrow's head of cerebrovascular surgery: "I really expect that he will fortunately make a 100% recovery...He's just one of those lucky people, the 20% or so who have a subarachnoid hemorrhage who make a complete recovery and are able to resume all of their normal activities."

Yet, the medical team still has been unable to determine the cause of the hemorrhage. To read a full report on his release in The New York Daily News, click here.

Dr. Zabramski has previously commented that "he has an unbelievable fight in him and told me what kept him alive at the moment of the hemorrhage was that he 'did not want his family to wake up and see him lying unconscious in the middle of the floor.'"

According to the NY Daily News, Michael's medical team has deemed his condition stable enough to possibly appear on the live final of Celebrity Apprentice on May 23 and that he could even start touring again as early as this month.

On April 22, Bret Michaels was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after suffering a brain hemorrhage. He is now being held at an undisclosed location.

Fans may remember last year when Michaels was struck in the head by a piece of scenery following his performance on the 2009 Tony Awards. It is unknown as to whether these events are related.

Michaels is currently in stable condition in the ICU. The rocker, who suffers from Type 1 diabetes, recently had an appendectomy on April 12. It is unclear if this latest heath scare is a result of the recent surgery.

In addition his career as the lead singer of Poison, Michaels has several solo albums to his credit. He has also starred in the VH1 reality show Rock of Love with Bret Michaels and its sequels, and as a judge on the talent show Nashville Star. He is a contestant on NBC's reality show Celebrity Apprentice 3. His hits, "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" and "Nothing But a Good Time" are featured in the Broadway hit musical ROCK OF AGES.
