Brent Barrett Returns to CHICAGO as Billy Flynn, 2/7

On Monday, February 7, Broadway's Tony Award-winning hit musical CHICAGO will welcome back Broadway favorite Brent Barrett as Billy Flynn for a limited return engagement (through Sunday, March 6).

In CHICAGO, Barrett will join Bianca Marroquin as Roxie Hart, Leigh Zimmerman as Velma Kelly, Robert Creighton as Amos Hart and LaVon Fisher-Wilson as Matron "Mama" Morton.

Brent Barrett is no stranger to the stages of Broadway, the West End, concert halls, recording studios and television. Most recently, he starred as the Phantom in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Phantom - The Las Vegas Spectacular at The Venetian Hotel and Casino.

He received an Olivier Award nomination for his starring role in the London premiere of the Tony Award-winning Broadway revival of Kiss Me, Kate. His acclaimed performance was recorded for broadcast on PBS and is available on DVD. He also starred in the City Center Encores! production of The Pajama Game and as King Arthur in the Paper Mill Playhouse production of Camelot.

In addition to CHICAGO's Billy Flynn, his other Broadway roles include Frank Butler in the Broadway revival of Irving Berlin's Annie Get Your Gun at the Marquis Theatre opposite Reba McEntire, Charles Castleton in the Alan Jay Lerner musical Dance a Little Closer, Baron Felix Von Gaigern in Grand Hotel and Maximillon in the revival of Candide. His Off-Broadway credits include Closer Than Ever, March of the Falsettos, The Death of Von Richtofen, The Time Of Cuckoo and a musical version of Portrait of Jenny.

CHICAGO features a book by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, music by John Kander and lyrics by Fred Ebb, and is the winner of six 1997 Tony Awards including Best Musical Revival and the Grammy Award for Best Musical Cast Recording. Set amidst the razzle-dazzle decadence of the 1920s, CHICAGO is the story of Roxie Hart, a housewife and nightclub dancer who murders her lover after he threatens to walk out on her. Desperate to avoid conviction, she dupes the public, the media and her rival cellmate, Velma Kelly, by hiring Chicago's slickest criminal lawyer to transform her malicious crime into a barrage of sensational headlines, the likes of which might just as easily be ripped from today's tabloids.
