Brenda Braxton to Lead Industry Reading of New Musical BOURBON STREET

The New (Orleans) Musical, Bourbon Street will get an industry reading on Monday, March 9 at 1 pm& 6pm at Chelsea Studios (151 West 26th Street). Bourbon Street has music and lyrics by Greg Michael Pasqua, book by K. Gehrig, and will directed by Jonathan Cerullo with musical direction by John McMahon.

Set against the colorful and vibrant backdrop of Mardi Gras, Bourbon Street follows a forbidden love story between a jazz composer and his mysterious muse as he makes a Faustian deal to keep his passionate romance alive. A romantic fantasy, Bourbon Street is a new musical about eternal love and its creation of art at all costs.

Cast includes: Brenda Braxton ( Tony Nominee, Smokey Joe's Café, Chicago, Dreamgirls), Tally Sessions (Big Fish, House of Blue Leaves), Bernard Dotson (Ragtime, Chicago), Adrian Bailey (Smokey Joe's Café, Jelly's Last Jam), Tina Fabrique (Ragtime, Bring in 'Da Noise, Bring in 'Da Funk), Mick Bleyer (National Tour The Scarlet Pimpernel), Brian Cali, Angelica Salem, and Vanessa Wendt. Bourbon Street was one of the finalist for this year's TRU musical reading series.
