JACQUES BREL IS ALIVE AND WELL AND LIVING IN PARIS, the hit revival now playing at The Zipper Theatre (336 West 37th Street) continues its popular series of Sunday post-performance talk backs used as a forum for a progressive discussion on the political relevance of Brel and his music.

On Sunday, December 10th, following the 7pm performance, Dan Whitten, the show's producer will moderate a discussion focusing on the repercussions of war on the family and society as a whole. This will, of course, include dialogue about Brel's songs  - including the stirring anti-war anthem "Sons Of" and how they address this sensitive subject.  Participating in the discussion will be Sibley J. Smith, Director of Education of the Vietnam Era Education Center at the New Jersey Vietnam Veteran¹s Memorial, Vietnam War veterans, as well as a "Gold Star Mother" - the military term for a mother who has lost a son or daughter in service to our country.  Gay Marshall and other members of the cast will be on hand to share their thoughts and opinions on performing this timely work.

Producer Whitten says, "Brel's songs are as relevant today as they were in 1968.   These talk backs, a result of comments made by audience members, will serve as a catalyst for discussion and debate in this time of war and social challenge."

Tickets may be obtained through TeleCharge (212) 239-6200, www.telecharge.com or by visiting the Zipper Theatre box office (336 West 37th Street).
