New York's Naked Angels (Geoffrey Nauffts, Artistic Director; Brittany O?Neill, Managing Director) has announced complete casting for its World Premiere production of Geoffrey Nauffts' new play Next Fall (formerly titled The Gospel According To Adam), directed by Sheryl Kaller. The cast will feature Patrick Breen, Maddie Corman, Sean Dugan, Patrick Heusinger, Connie Ray, and Cotter Smith.

Winner of the Blanche and Irving Laurie Foundation's 2008 TheatreVisions Fund award, Next Fall will begin performances on May 26 th at The Peter JaySharp Theatre at Playwrights Horizons (416 West 42 nd Street), with Opening Night set for Wednesday, June 3 rd . In this witty and provocative urban romance, a Christian gives an Atheist the Heimlich,and dislodges more than they bargained for.

Written by Naked Angels' artisticdirector Geoffrey Nauffts, Next Fall chronicles the five-year relationship of Adam andLuke as they grapple with their respective demons. Timely and compelling, the play places the current Prop 8 controversy in a human context by examining what it means to "believe" in this day and age, and what it might cost us not to.The creative team for Next Fall includes Wilson Chin (Scenic Design), Jessica Wegener(Costume Design), Jeff Croiter (Lighting Design), and Bart Fasbender (Sound Design).

Geoffrey Nauffts has worked as an actor both on and off Broadway, regionally andextensively in film and television.

He's directed short plays by Kenneth Lonergan, Frank Pugliese, David Marshall Grant, Theresa Rebeck and Suzan-Lori Parks, as well as thecritically acclaimed production of Steven Belber?s Tape in New York, Los Angeles andLondon. He wrote, directed and co-starred in the award-winning short film BabySteps with Kathy Bates and co-wrote Jenifer, a movie of the week for CBS.

He?s currently collaborating with Anthony Barrile and Elton John on a score for Showstopper, a screenplay he co-wrote with Barrile for Ben Stiller?s company, Red Hour. In the fall of2007 he took over as artistic director of Naked Angels where he?s been a proud memberfor over twenty-two years. His play Next Fall was the winner of the 2008 Theater Visions Fund Award from the Blanche and Irving Laurie Foundation.

She was a member of the former Circle Rep Lab and the recipient of a Dramalogue Award/ Best New Musical.

Sheryl co-founded and was the Artistic Director of Two Island Productions, a New York andBermuda-based theater company devoted to developing and producing original plays, playwright retreats/ workshops, screenplays, concerts and youth arts and educationprograms. Maddie Corman started her career as a teenager in multiple after school specials andsuch 80s movies as Seven Minutes in Heaven and Some Kind Of Wonderful. She went onto appear in films including My New Gun, Ford Fairline, Swingers, PCU, Mr. Wrong, IThink I Do, Mickey Blue Eyes, Maid In Manhattan, Beer League, Ira and Abby, PhoebeIn Wonderland and Sunshine Cleaning. On TV, Maddie played Laura San Giacomo?s bestfriend in the CBS film "Jennifer" and she was a series regular on both "Mr. President"and "All American Girl."

Maddie?s many guest spots include "Frasier," "Law and Order,""Tracy Takes All," and "Curb Your Enthusiasm." She recently completed the HBO pilot"The Last of the Ninth." On stage, Maddie has appeared in numerous Off Broadwayproductions including stints at The Public Theatre, Second Stage, AJT and the DirectorsCompany. She starred in the recent revival of Wendy Wasserstein?s Isn't It Romantic atthe Tribecca Playhouse. In the next few months Maddie will be seen in the indie filmAdam as well as the Untitled Nicole Holofcener Film.

He recentlyparticipated in workshops of Kyle Jarrow's and Nathan Leigh's Big Money with directorShira Milikowski at Ars Nova, and Steven Sater's Prometheus Bound for director DianePaulus. Heusinger is a graduate of Juilliard.

He grew up in Jacksonville, FL and currentlysplits his time between New York and Los Angeles.

Connie Ray is an actress and writer living in LA. Her film credits include Flags Of OurFathers, Thank You For Smoking, About Schmidt, Bonny Jones: Stroke Of Genius, IcePrincess, Hope Floats, Stuart Little, Welcome To Paradise, Speed 2: Cruise Control. Inaddition to her starring role in the NBC sitcom "The Torkelsons," Ms. Ray has gueststarred on numerous television series including recurring roles on "Worst Week,""Providence," and "The Pretender." In New York, she appeared on Broadway in The HeidiChronicles and numerous Off and Off-Off Broadway shows including Smoke on theMountain, which Ms. Ray also wrote.

Smoke on the Mountain ran Off-Broadway for 14months and was subsequently the most produced musical in America for the last 18 years.The screenplay of Smoke on the Mountain will have songs written by Dolly Parton.Cotter Smith is extremely happy to be working in New York again. His various othertheatre credit include the Broadway productions of Wendy Wasserstein?s An AmericanDaughter and Lanford Wilson?s Burn This, as well as the Vineyard Theatre productions of Paula Vogel?s Pulitzer Prize winning How I Learned To Drive and The Dying Gaul byCraig Lucas. He was a member of The Circle Repertory Company for ten years and is afounding member of the Matrix Theatre Company in Los Angeles.

He also co-starred withJudd Harsch in the National Tour of the Tony Award winning play Art. His television andfilm work ranges from his debut as Robert Kennedy in the miniseries Blood Feud twenty-five years ago to his role as the President of the United States in X2: X-Men United, andhe recently completed work on the film Lunatics, Lovers and Poets, for which he receiveda Best Supporting Actor nomination at the MethodFest Independent Film Festival.
