The new screwball comedy Living on Love, is the season's first post-Tony nomination closing announcement after receiving no nominations this morning. The show will play its final performance on Broadway this Sunday, May 3, 2015 after 21 previews and 16 regular performances at the Longacre Theatre (220 West 48th Street, NYC).
Living on Love is written by two-time Tony Award winner Joe DiPietro, based on the play Peccadillo by Garson Kanin and directed by three-time Tony Award winner Kathleen Marshall.
"It has truly been an honor and a joy to bring this hilarious and touching new play to Broadway," said producers Scott Landis and Philip Morgaman. "It's disappointing that we weren't able to find a large enough audience during this overwhelmingly busy time of the Broadway season. We couldn't be more proud of this amazing cast and creative team who made Living on Love a labor of love. We hope folks will get over to the Longacre to see their fantastic work before the final performance this Sunday."
Living on Love stars four time Grammy Award winner Renée Fleming, Tony Award nominee Douglas Sills, 2-time Emmy Award nominee Anna Chlumsky, Jerry O'Connell, Blake Hammond and Scott Robertson.
The performance schedule for this final week is Tuesday through Thursday at 7pm; Saturday at 8pm; Wednesday and Saturday at 2pm; and, Sunday at 3pm. Tickets for Living on Love are available through Telecharge.com, by calling 212-239-6200, and in person at the Longacre Theatre box office (220 West 48th Street, NYC).
