Adam Brazier, one of the stars of the Broadway production of The Woman in White, will perform as part of Jason Robert Brown's Canadian concert debut. "An Evening with Jason Robert Brown and The Caucasian Rhythm Kings" will be performed on October 16th at 8 PM at the Glenn Gould Studio in Toronto.
Brazier has also been seen in the Broadway revival of Into the Woods, originated the role of Sky in Mamma Mia! in the Toronto and First National Tour productions, played Joey in Pal Joey at the Shaw Festival, Jamie in the Manitoba Theatre Centre's production of The Last Five Years, and will play Frank 'N' Furter in CanStage's upcoming production of The Rocky Horror Show. He can be heard singing the lead role on the 2005 Sydmonton Cast Recording of The Likes of Us, Time Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber's very first collaboration.
Also joining the concert is Julie Martell, who understudied and played the role of Louise opposite Bernadette Peters in Sam Mendes' Broadway revival of Gypsy. She reprised her role as Louise in the 2005 Shaw Festival production. She played Sophie in the Toronto company of Mamma Mia! and can currently be seen in the Shaw Festival production of High Society.
Backed by his band the Caucasian Rhythm Kings, the evening will feature songs from Jason Robert Brown's award-winning and internationally performed musicals Songs for a New World, Parade and The Last Five Years, as well as from his recent solo album "Wearing Someone Else's Clothes," and some new material.
