Producer Lee Biolos has signed Brandon Ruckdashel for the lead role in his upcoming feature film ONE DEGREE.  Mr. Biolos said "the dream role of Rick Vogel will be an outstanding showcase for the multi-talented Ruckdashel."

In ONE DEGREE Rick Vogel finds himself jobless and alone in Hollywood, save for an unexpected friend in the form of his neighbor Buck Powers. With Buck's help, Rick posts and responds to online ads, reinventing himself in a variety of roles to suit the needs of those willing to pay.

He ultimately realizes that all his roles, no matter how well played, are masks shielding him from his true self.  He finds that Hollywood truly is a small town where the accepted six degrees of separation rule has been reduced to only one.

"I had a few rough months when I moved to Los Angeles and really understand the role of Rick," Brandon noted.  "It was a scary time and I never felt that I fit in. I found Hollywood and its people difficult to understand. I see the Rick role as a way to deal with my life here."

ONE DEGREE Director/Writer Broderick Fox spent his childhood years living in Tokyo before studying at Harvard University and later USC's School of Cinematic Arts.

His Tak For Alt: Survival of a Human Spirit won the Dore Schary Award, received a national PBS broadcast, a theatrical release in Los Angeles, and garnered special recognition from the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences in their Best Documentary Series.

Brandon made his professional stage debut as the lead in the hit play Ascension.   Ascension opened to rave reviews in the New York papers and sold out houses.

Anita Gates in the New York Times wrote "the 23-year-old Mr. Ruckdashel is making his Off Broadway debut and it is a stunning one. This is partly because he has the intense blond good looks of a young Brad Pitt with a soupcon of James Dean."  Elyse Sommer in Curtain Up called him "a young Leonardo DiCaprio."

Last year Brandon moved to Los Angeles and landed a lead role in the network series The Lair as well as roles in a number of films.  He played lead Virgil, a naïve young man caught in the decadent 1920's Parisian demimonde, in the independent feature Virgil and plays Johnny, a young Vegas hustler, in the upcoming feature One Of My Kings.

In addition to film and television Brandon has continued his stage work.  He played Twist in the recent Los Angeles production of Twist, nominated for a Drama Desk Award.  He recently returned to New York for George Carr's A Body Without A Head, based on the work of former Calvin Klein Creative Director Zack Carr and designed by current Creative Director Kevin Carrigan.
