Brandon Cutrell Returns to Feinstein's for 6/4 Cabaret

Feinstein at the Regency will present the return of Bistro and two-time MAC Award winner Brandon Cutrell on Monday, June 4 at 8:30 PM. He will be celebrating the release of his new self-titled CD, including an eclectic mix of the brash and new, as well as innovative arrangements of several treasured compositions. The show, directed by Phil Geoffrey Bond, will be performed at the Regency Hotel (540 Park Avenue at 61st Street.)

Cutrell, the MAC Award and Bistro Award winner, is co-host of The After Party, the popular, weekly Friday night musical theatre "schmoozefest" at The Laurie Beechman Theatre on 42nd Street in New York. According to press materials, "His new CD includes tracks ranging from a haunting rendition of the Jerome Kern and Oscar Hammerstein classic, 'All the Things You Are,' to the inventive rhythm of Billy Joel's 'Summer, Highland Falls'.  Brandon's CD also celebrates many of the brightest new composers writing today, including Michael Holland's 'Firefly IX,' celebrating the joys of Fire Island, and Tim DiPasqua's 'You,' which has become Cutrell's signature song."

Cutrell made his entrance on the New York cabaret stage in 2001's "It's an Art: The Music of Stephen Schwartz" (with Stephen Schwartz). Other New York credits include: "Broadway By The Year" (Town Hall, directed by Emily Skinner), "The 2nd Annual Broadway Unplugged" (Town Hall), Pippin (with Ben Vereen and Rosie O'Donnell), Liz Swados' Waiting For Lefty and David Friedman's King Island Christmas. Nationally, he has performed with Theatre of the Stars, Goodspeed Musicals, the Human Race Theatre, and the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra. Cutrell's solo cabaret debut, entitled, was honored by TheaterMania as the best debut show of 2002 and by the Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs (MAC), which honored Brandon in 2003 with the MAC Award for Best Male Debut.

His show "No Reservations," enjoyed a four month run in New York.  "No Reservations" also earned Cutrell his second MAC Award, the 2005 MAC Award for Outstanding Male Vocalist, and the 2005 Back Stage Bistro Award for Outstanding Male Vocalist. For nearly two years, he was the original host of Mostly Sondheim. He made his debut in the Algonquin's Oak Room when he was named a finalist in the Algonquin's Young Artist Competition. In June of 2006, Cutrell made his solo debut at Feinstein's.  Every Monday night during the summer, Brandon and his musical director, Ray Fellman, can be found at the Ice Palace on Fire Island as the hosts of "Brandon and Ray's Broadway At The Beach."

The show has a $25.00 cover and a two drink minimum. Jackets are suggested but not required. The club is located at 540 Park Avenue at 61st Street in New York City.
