The Little Shubert Theatre box office for the new Off-Broadway comedy Under My Skin, featuring Tony winner Kerry Butler, Matt Walton, and Megan Sikora will open Monday, March 31st at 10 AM, producers confirmed this afternoon. Previews for Under My Skin, written by comedy powerhouse duo Robert Sternin and Prudence Fraser (THE NANNY, WHO'S THE BOSS?), are set to kick off on Saturday, April 5 ahead of an official opening on Thursday, May 15.
In Under My Skin, a twist of fate leads to love and laughs when New York's most eligible bachelor, Harrison Badish III (Walton), and a single, working mother, Melody Dent (Butler), experience each other's lives and see things from a very different perspective.
The Under My Skin creative team features work by scenic designer Stephen Dobay, costume designer Lara de Bruijn, lighting designer Driscoll Otto, and sound designer Janie Bullard. Lead Producer, Marla McNally Phillips, and Co-Producer Marcy Carsey, will direct.
Butler (Broadway: Xanadu (Tony nom.), Les Miserables, Hairspray, Rock of Ages, Beauty and the Beast), Matt Walton (Film: Burn After Reading; TV: One Life to Live; Off-Broadway: Hair) and Megan Sikora (Broadway: Gentleman Prefer Blondes, How to Succeed in Business, Promises, Promises) will be joined by Edward James Hyland (Broadway: Machinal, Arcadia, Festen, The Man Who Had All The Luck) as Poppa Sam; Dierdre Friel (Broadway: Leap of Faith) as the Angel; Allison Strong (Broadway: Bye Bye Birdie, Mamma Mia!) as Casey Dent; Kate Loprest (Broadway: First Date, Hairspray, Wonderland, Xanadu, Drowsy Chaperone; TV: HBO's Boardwalk Empire); and Andrew Polk (Off-Broadway: Mouth to Mouth).
