Boston & NYC Auditions Announced for HAIR Image

Peregrine Theatre Ensemble is thrilled to announce one of their 2018 season productions, the TONY Award winning tribal love-rock musical HAIR, book and lyrics by James Rado and Gerome Ragni and music by Galt MacDermot. Directed by Kyle Pleasant (dir. Peregrine's CHICAGO) at Peregrine Theatre's home, Fishermen Hall, 12 Winslow Street Provincetown, Tuesdays - Friday's July 10th - September 7th. Production team includes:

Christopher Heilman (Scenic Design); Gifford Williams (Lighting Design) and Seth Bodie (Costume Design).

This year marks the 50th Anniversary of the original 1968 production opening on Broadway and the 15th Anniversary of the Provincetown Theater Company production of 2003 that brought Peregrine's Executive Director, Adam Berry, to Provincetown for his first summer. A note from Peregrine's Executive Director,"In our current social and political climate the musical HAIR is absolutely relevant and its message is extremely powerful. Young men and women of America standing up for what they believe, protesting, creating change and fighting for what is right is as much in the forefront of today's news as it was during the 1960s. We are overwhelmingly excited to reintroduce this material to our audiences and showcase such an iconic musical score"

Auditions will take place in New York City and Boston. Peregrine is seeking singer/actors with a wide vocal range who can move. This production requires musicianship and artistry that connects with the material and heart of the music.
