Stephen Bogardus, Jonathan Groff, Jessica Grové and more will headline a concert reading of the Twelfth Night-based musical Illyria, which will be presented as part of the New York Musical Theatre Festival at the Lamb's Theatre (130 West 44th Street) on Monday, September 11th.
Presented by the Prospect Theatre Company, the show will star Tony-nominee Bogardus (Man of La Mancha, Falsettos), Groff (Spring Awakening), Grové (The Pursuit of Persephone, Thoroughly Modern Millie), Michael Winther (Songs from an Unmade Bed, Mamma Mia!), Jeff Edgerton (Parade, Grease), Darren Ritchie (Dracula, Little Shop of Horrors), and Dan Sharkey (Lone Star Love).The show will be directed by Prospect producing artistic director Cara Reichel, who directed and/or wrote the book for Mills' previous shows The Pursuit of Persephone, The Flood, The Alchemists, and The Taxi Cabaret, as well as for recent hit production of Iron Curtain. Illyria premiered at New York's Hudson Guild in 2002, and was also presented at the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey two years ago.
The Flood will be presented from Oct. 21 through Nov. 19 at the Chernuchin Theatre (314 West 54th Street).
