Roundabout Theatre Company has announced the full company joining Margaret Colin as "Katharine Markham" and Tony Award-winner Harriet Harris as "Mildred Watson Drake" in a new Broadway production of John Van Druten's comedy Old Acquaintance, directed by Michael Wilson at the American Airlines Theatre on Broadway (227 West 42nd St).

Old Acquaintance will begin previews on Friday, June 1st, 2007 and open officially on Thursday, June 28th, 2007.   This is a limited engagement through August 19th, 2007.

The cast will also include Stephen Bogardus (Tony-nominee for Love! Valour! Compassion!, Man of La Mancha, Falsettos) as Preston Drake, Diane Davis (Regrets Only, Festen) as Deirdre Drake, Corey Stoll (Henry IV, Intimate Apparel) as Rudd Kendall, Cynthia Darlow (Taller Than a Dwarf, Present Laughter, Prelude to a Kiss) as Susan and Gordana Rashovich (Fefu and Her Friends, "Whoopi," the film Mad Men) as Sabrina.

Diane Davis will assume the role of "Deirdre Drake," previously announced to be played by Lily Rabe.

The design team includes Alexander Dodge (sets), David Woolard (costumes), Rui Rita (lights), John Gromada (sound), Paul Huntley (hair & wigs).

"Old Acquaintance is a delightful drawing-room comedy about two childhood friends who have grown into very different adults. Though they are both successful authors, independent Katharine 'Kit' Markham (Colin) carries on an affair with a younger man while divorcee Mildred "Milly" Drake (Harris) refuses to loosen the apron-strings on her teenage daughter, Deirdre (Davis). But when Deirdre's struggles to become more like her idol Kit have far-reaching consequences, the two he two women who thought they were growing apart may have much more in common than they'd like to admit," state press notes.

Harriet Harris returns to Broadway following her Tony Award winning performance as "Mrs. Meers" in Thoroughly Modern Millie (2002).  Harris returns to Roundabout Theatre Company and the American Airlines stage, where she was most recently seen in the Broadway production of The Man Who Came to Dinner (2000) and before that, The Crucible (1990).  Margaret Colin also returns to Roundabout following her role in the Tony nominated revival of A Day in the Death of Joe Egg (2003).

Old Acquaintance premiered on Broadway in 1940 at the Morosco Theatre, starring Jane Cowl and Peggy Wood.  In 1943, the play was made into feature film starring Bette Davis and Miriam Hopkins.

Tickets will be available beginning April 28th by calling Roundabout Ticket Services at (212)719-1300, online at www.roundabouttheatre.org or at the American Airlines box office (227 West 42nd St.).

Old Acquaintance will play Tuesday through Saturday evenings at 8:00PM with a Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday matinee at 2:00PM.  Ticket prices range from $51.25 - $86.25.
