Broadway headliner and recently crowned 2013 Emmy Award winner Bobby Cannavale elaborates on the starry circumstances surrounding the ongoing rehearsals for his first feature film musical ANNIE, co-starring Cameron Diaz, Jamie Foxx and Quvenzhane Wallis.

Cannavale shares that the film has been in rehearsal for several weeks and that he and Diaz share a musical moment in the contemporary remake of the classic comic and 1977 musical.

"I play Jamie Foxx's political advisor. It's a new role. It's a great part," Cannavale says about his role in the movie musical.

"I'm singin' and dancin'," he shares with a smile.

Asked if he sings, Cannavale comically shoots back, "Yeah - I do now!"

Furthermore: "We've been singing and dancing in rehearsals for the last month," Cannavale reveals.

While Cannavale's role is specially penned for the film, he nevertheless will be supplied with a musical number or two in which to shine - sharing the soundstage with none other than Cameron Diaz as Miss Hannigan for one of them, he confirms.

"Cameron Diaz and I have a big dance number that we do," Cannavale says.

As for the status of the rehearsals? "It's going good. She's pretty good, you know," he says diplomatically.

Additionally, Cannavale states that he is new to dancing, but, like with singing, has taken to it quite winningly.

"My choreographer was telling me that I'm like Rain Man. He's like, 'Wow, man, you pick this stuff up really, really easily,'" Cannavale recounts.

He concludes, "I had no idea that I could, because I don't really like to dance."
