Judy Kaye, Walter Bobbie, Felicia Finley, Eddie Korbich, Lee Wilkof, Jeffry Denman and more have been cast in Encores!'s upcoming staged concert of Face the Music. The show will be directed by John Rando, with music direction by Rob Fisher.
From March 29 - April 1 at New York City Center, Encores! will present the first full-scale restoration of Berlin and Hart's Face the Music, a 1932 musical about a desperate producer in New York trying to raise the money for his latest revue, Rhinestones of '32. The show, one of Berlin's (Annie Get Your Gun, Call Me Madam) personal favorites, contains a pair of depression-era classics – "Let's Have Another Cup of Coffee" and "Soft Lights and Sweet Music."
In addition to Tony Award-winner Kaye (The Phantom of the Opera, Souvenir), Bobbie (Tony-winner for directing Chicago revival, performer in Guys and Dolls, etc.), Finley (The Wedding Singer, Aida), Korbich (The Drowsy Chaperone, Wicked), Wilkof (The Odd Couple, Little Shop of Horrors) and Denman (The Producers), the concert will feature Chris Hoch, Mylinda Hull (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels), Meredith Patterson (42nd Street), and Timothy Shew.
