Bob Martin to Write Comedy Series for ABC & Shaw

According to Deadline.com, Broadway veteran Bob Martin has teamed up with Noreen Halpern for a comedy series for ABC and Canada's Shaw.

Still untitled, the series revolves around 'a cartoonist who struggles to reconcile the idealized married life depicted in his comic strip, with his own life, one that is populated by ex spouses, children from three different marriages, and a wife who earns far more money than he does.'

Martin starred in the Broadway musical The Drowsy Chaperone as the "Man in Chair". He also collaborated with Don McKellar on the book. He was nominated for a Tony Award for his performance as Man in Chair, and shared the Tony Award for Best Book of a Musical and the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Book of a Musical with Don McKellar.
