The Blue Man Group will star in "How to be a Megastar Tour 2.1," which kicks off in Houston on October 5th, according to Variety.

The tour, logically enough, follows last year's "How to be a Megastar Tour 2.0."  Playing 44 added shows, the newest leg of the tour will bring the acclaimed performance group to mostly Southeast and Midwest cities.  It will conclude in Lafayette, LA on December 8th.

The show "follows the Blue Men as they order a rock star do-it-yourself manual from an informercial and try out each of its instructions, such as'"the one-armed fist pump' and 'saying hello to the people in the crappy seats.'"  Emery Entertainment and Pacific Arts Entertainment produce.

According to earlier press notes, "Blue Man Group applies its unique creative process to a wide variety of projects, including their theatrical shows located in 8 cities worldwide, their touring rock concert 'How To Be a Megastar 2.0,' and the recording of three albums: the Grammy nominated Audio, The Complex, which became the musical basis for The Complex Rock Tour, and Live At The Venetian - Las Vegas, available exclusively on iTunes. Blue Man Group has also ventured into film and TV scoring (most recently the animated feature Robots), commercial campaigns (such as Intel), and television programs (like the recurring storyline in 'Arrested Development'). As the company grows, it remains true to its vision of providing exciting experiences in a variety of media, which appeal to a broad range of age groups and cultural backgrounds."
