Block, Murney, Jersey Boys, Etc. Set for Bway Softball

On Thursday, May 10th at Heckscher Softball Fields in Central Park at 11:15 AM, some of Broadway's best will open the 53rd season of the Broadway Softball League.

Among the included stars are: Stephanie J. Block (The Pirate Queen), Boyd Gaines (Journey's End), Jonathan Groff (Spring Awakening), Norm Lewis (The Little Mermaid), Darlene Love (Hairspray), Julia Murney (Wicked), Kate Shindle (Legally Blonde), Christopher Sieber (Spamalot), Alexa Vega (Hairspray); and singing the national anthem: The Jersey Boys - Christian Hoff, Daniel Reichard, John Lloyd Young, and J. Robert Spencer.

There will be a special appearance by Mr. Met (The official mascot of the New York Mets).  In addition, the following teams are scheduled to play: A Chorus Line, Hairspray, Legally Blonde, Les Miserables, Mamma Mia!, Mary Poppins, The Phantom of the Opera, Spring Awakening,and The Coast of Utopia.
