Block, Espinosa, Etc. Set for L.A. Evening with Andrew Lippa

Composer/lyricist Andrew Lippa (The Wild Party) will be joined by Broadway stars Stephanie J. Block (Boy From Oz, Wicked, The Pirate Queen), Eden Espinosa (Wicked, Brooklyn), Matthew Morrison (The Light In the Piazza; Hairspray), Jonelle Allen (Two Gentlemen of Verona) and more in "An Evening with Andrew Lippa and Friends" at The Orange County Performing Arts Center in Costa Mesa, California for a one-night only cabaret on Tuesday, December 19, 2006. Proceeds from the concert will benefit the California Conservatory of  the Arts, a non-profit training ground for aspiring young performing and visual artsists in Southern California.

The concert will also celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Conservatories' internationally renowned performing troupe, The Kids Next Door. Alums of The  Kids Next Door include both Block and Morrison and Tony-nominated Susan Egan (Beauty and The Beast; Cabaret; Triumph of Love). The concert will feature the music of Andrew Lippa, performed by Mr. Lippa and his very special  guests.

The California Conservatory of the Arts provides comprehensive, pre-professional training to talented young people, selected by audition, from all parts of Southern California with aspirations for careers in the arts. The Conservatory is a member of The National Alliance of Musical Theatre (NAMT). The school will be producing Andrew Lippa's musical A Little Princess the weekend prior to the benefit which will star five professional  guest artists including Terron Brooks (Broadway's Lion King and Hairspray national tour), Kamilah Martin (Broadway's original cast Hairspray and Rent), Roger Befelor (starred in national tours of Beauty and the Beast and Phantom of The Opera) and Jonelle Allen (Tony-nominated Broadway's Two Gentlemen of Verona) and advanced students from the Conservatory.
