Broadway Cares/ Equity Fights AIDS was featured on last week's episode of the award-winning reality program "Project Runway."
The episode featured the show's contestants creating designs for 11 noted drag queens. All 11 creations from the episode are being auctioned now at
www.ProjectRunway.com with all proceeds benefitting BC/EFA.
Varla Jean Merman (
www.VarlaOnline.com), one of the drag queens who participated in the challenge, reflected on her "Project Runway" experience, "What can I say?
Heidi Klum said I had an amazing body! Now, if only
Barbra Streisand would say I had an amazing voice, I could die happy today. Babs, give me a ring or just buy the outfit! Either would put a smile on my face."
In addition to last week's episode, "Project Runway" season three alum and long time BC/EFA supporter
Malan Breton has donated a pair of tickets to see his Spring 2009 collection as part of the upcoming New York Fashion Week in Bryant Park to be put up for auction to benefit Broadway Cares.
