After a groundbreaking inaugural year, BroadwayEvolved returns in 2019 with two Summer Intensives and College Prep. With just a few spots remaining, Betsy Wolfe, Co-Founder, shares her reflections on 2018 and why she just knew there had to be a second year.
"BroadwayEvolved began as a passionate attempt to connect aspiring performers and educators from all walks of life to the very artists who inspire them. Not long after we finished the first BroadwayEvolved 2018 Summer Intensive the life changing student and parent testimonials came pouring in. I knew that something lasting and impactful was created that went far beyond my wildest dreams. I firmly believe the success of the graduating students and educators is a direct reflection of the way in which the faculty walk through the door and approach teaching with BroadwayEvolved. I'm so proud we've been able to double scholarships for the 2019 intensives all in the hopes of shaping the next generation of industry change makers in an even more meaningful way."
SUMMER INTENSIVES (6/17-6/21 & 7/29-8/2) bring together the highest level of talented faculty to propel student and educator success. Faculty arrive with accomplished resumes, experience teaching, and a commitment to mentoring.
2019 Program Faculty includes: Adam Kantor, Alexandra Silber, Alex Brightman, Andrew Keenan-Bolger, Andrew Rannells, Audra McDonald, Betsy Wolfe, Christy Altomare, Corey Cott, Denee Benton, Elizabeth Stanley, Gavin Creel, Jay Armstrong Johnson, Jenn Colella, Kelli O'Hara, Laura Osnes, Rob McClure, Stephanie J. Block, Taylor Louderman, and Will Swenson. Plus more to be announced. BroadwayEvolved knows that when both students and educators are trained in complementary models, the potential is limitless.
COLLEGE PREP (8/3-8/4) enables students to evaluate the unique paths to a career on Broadway, while truly understanding individual strengths and needs. While competition is stiffer than ever to get into the "best" schools, a student's decision to go to college and which college is arguably the most important career move they've made up until now. College Prep brings together university faculty and industry professionals experienced in this unique area to ensure students are technically and mentally equipped for one of their most important decisions. Up until now, there hasn't been a program aimed towards this process that isn't one size fits all.
