Betsy Morgan Joins The Fantasticks, May 24-June 10

Betsy Morgan will assume the role of "Luisa" in the new production of The Fantasticks Thursday, May 24 - Sunday, June 10, 2007. Morgan replaces Julie Craig whose final performance will be Tuesday, May 22, 2007.  A permanent replacement for Ms. Craig will be announced shortly.

Morgan's previous credits include High Fidelity on Broadway, Bernarda Alba at Lincoln Center, Prairie, Leap of Faith, Memphis and the national touring production of Mamma Mia!.

The Fantasticks opened on Wednesday, August 23, at New York's Snapple Theater Center (210 West 50th Street at Broadway).  The beloved, musical love story features music by Harvey Schmidt and book and lyrics by Tom Jones.  Mr. Jones also directs.

Betsy Morgan joins the cast of The Fantasticks, which includes: Thomas Bruce ("Henry"), John Deyle ("Hucklebee"), Burke Moses ("El Gallo"), Robert R. Oliver ("Mortimer"), Nick Spangler ("The Mute") and Martin Vidnovic as ("Bellomy").

"American Idol" favorite and Top 4 finalist Anthony Fedorov joined the cast in the role of "Matt" on Tuesday, May 1.

The musical is produced by Steven Baruch, Marc Routh, Richard Frankel and Thomas Viertel.
