Why to See It: The Broadway run comes following a sold out, twice extended world premiere run at the Lucille Lortel Theatre. Written by and starring Cole Escola and directed by Sam Pinkleton, the New York Times Critic’s Pick will only run through September 15, 2024.

When he discovers he is human, Buddy embarks on a journey to New York City to find his birth father, and in turn, helps the Big Apple rediscover the true meaning of Christmas.
Why to See It: Following two hugely successful, record-breaking seasons in London’s West End in 2022 and 2023, this production of Elf The Musical will be new to Broadway and will mark the musical’s return for the first time in over a decade. Tony nominee Grey Henson will lead the production as Buddy the Elf.

Plot: It’s the holiday season for the Dahl family! The four adult children return to their childhood home with partners in tow. The Dahl traditions include singing carols in harmony at the drop of a hat, but the gathering is anything but harmonious. Old conflicts resurface, new issues battled, and dinner is taking absolutely forever to be served. Will the love the Dahls have for each other be enough to get them through, or will this be their last Christmas together?
Why to See It: Emmy Award nominee Leslye Headland (Bachelorette, “Star Wars: The Acolyte,” “Russian Doll”) returns to Second Stage Theater, which produced her play, “Bachelorette,” in its Uptown Series, and her play, “The Layover,” off-Broadway at the Kiser Theater. This will mark her Broadway debut. Trip Cullman will direct.

Plot: A series of hilarious stories about dating, heartbreak, marriage and that sort of thing, adapted from the short stories of Simon Rich, and performed by a rotating cast of some of the funniest people on the planet. Sometimes they will play pirates, sometimes they will play dogs, and there’s one where we make them talk in British accents. But even though the show’s kind of all over the place, it’s meant to tell one simple story: that the most important part of life is who we share it with. We hope everybody will relate to it, even if it was their date’s idea to come and they are starting out from a place of quiet resentment.
Why to See It: All In will be performed with a rotating cast of four actors for 10 weeks. For the first 5 weeks, Mulaney will lead the cast and be joined by Fred Armisen, Renée Elise Goldsberry (12/11 – 12/30), Chloe Fineman (1/2 – 1/12), and Richard Kind.
