Bernhard and Cameron Mitchell Appear at Joe's Pub New Year's Eve

Comedian and actress Bernhard (I'm the One That I Want) will perform two shows at 7:30pm at 10:30pm, while Cameron Mitchell (Hedwig and the Angry Inch) and Murray Hill will follow with Afterparty 2006 from 1 AM to 8 AM.

You would be hard pressed to find a more relevant, hysterical and jaw dropping way to kick start 2006. Get your ringside seats and start spreading the news- Sandra Bernhard's at Joe's Pub on New Years Eve!," state press notes for Bernhard's show.
"Head over to Joe's Pub after you watch the ball drop and start the Year off in style with the King and Queen of the downtown scene. Count on it being the afterparty that youll be trying to re-create for the rest of the year. The evening will feature performances favorite downtown acts and dancing til breakfast. Ticket includes a free breakfast buffet at 4:00AM," according to notes for Afterparty 2006.
Joe's Pub has also announced a number of other Broadway performers that will perform in the weeks and months to come. On December 24th, Hairspray's Jackie Hoffman will present her show Chanukah at Joe's Pub; this is in addition to previously-announced dates December 19th and 26th for two shows a night--at 7:30 PM and 9:30 PM. "Audiences, both Semitic and non, are in for a kosher calliope of the wit and bile which you have come to expect," state press notes. Hoffman will also return to Joe's Pub on January 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 7th and 15th.
Kevin Cahoon, who plays the Childcatcher in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and whose other credits include Hedwig and the Angry Inch, The Rocky Horror Show and The Who's Tommy, will perform with his band Ghetto Cowboy on March 5th.
Sam Harris has been announced to perform on March 26th and 27th, 2006. Harris has appeared on Broadway in The Producers, The Life and Grease on Broadway, and in the LA Reprise! concert of Pippin, among other credits.
Tickets for Bernhard's 7:30 show are $85 through December 23rd and $100 on December 24th or later. Tickets for the 10:30 show are $125 until Dec. 23rd and $150 on Dec. 24th or later. Tickets for Afterparty 2006 are $25 advance by phone or $30 cash at door.
