Bergen County Artist Marsha Heller to Exhibit Wok at Ceres Gallery in New York City

Artist Marsha Heller has been selected to show her work in the Ceres Gallery's exhibition 'Summer Serenade'. Ceres Gallery, the first gallery in New York City devoted to showcasing and promoting the work of women artists, will present Heller's paintings in the annual group show of member artists from June 22 to July 15, 2016.

The pubic is invited to attend an art reception on Thursday, June 23 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Ceres Gallery, located at 547 W. 27th Street, 2nd floor in New York City. Afterward, Heller's work may be viewed during the gallery's normal hours Tuesday through Saturday from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 12:00 to 8:00 p.m.

"I am excited to participate in this show at Ceres Gallery, where I recently become a member. It is gratifying to have my work recognized by this illustrious group of women painters, and I am proud to have been chosen to join them," said Heller.

Born into a family of artists, Heller, a resident of Leonia, New Jersey, studied at Oberlin College, Salzburg Mozarteum and the School of Visual Arts. She has exhibited her work throughout the United States, Israel, and Cuba, participating in several shows in the New York metropolitan area, Vermont, Massachusetts, the New Jersey shore, and Florida. In New York City, her work has been shown in the Montserrat Gallery and the Citicorp Building. Heller's work was also juried into the Chautauqua National Annual Show by Kim Foster of Kim Foster Gallery, NYC. Her artwork may be viewed online at MarshaHellerGallery.com, Saatchi, and Vida, where her wearable art has just been featured.
