Deadline reports that Arian Moayed has joined the cast of NBC's upcoming drama pilot BELIEVE from J.J. Abrams and Alfonso Cuarón. Cuarón and Mark Friedman penned the script for the drama which also stars Johnny Sequoyah, Jake McLaughlin and Sienna Guillory.
The project centers on "the unlikely relationship between Bo (Sequoyah), a girl in possession of great powers - which will come into their own in seven years - and Tate (McLaughlin), the man sprung from prison to protect her from those trying to hunt her down." Moayed will portray 'Corey', described as "the right-hand man to hit woman Moore (Guillory)."
Moayed made his Broadway debut in 'Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo,' opposite Robin Williams. His portrayal of 'Musa' in the show earned him a Tony nomination. The actor's off-Broadway credits include King Lear, Queens Boulevard, The American Pilot and The Persians.
He recently wrapped up a two-episode story arc on FOX's The Following.
