Ben Sherwood Leads 5/6 Talkback at A Fine & Private Place

Ben Sherwood, author of "The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud" and producer of ABC's "Good Morning America, will lead a discussion following the matinee performance of A Fine and Private Place at the York Theater on Saturday, May 6.The York Theatre is located at St. Peter's Church in Citigroup Center (54th Street just east of Lexington Avenue).

A Fine and Private Place, based upon the best-selling 1960 novel by Peter S. Beagle, is a musical fantasy of love and discovery, as two couples (one living, and one of the spirit world) find that love and redemption can be found in the most unexpected places. Set in the Yorkchester Cemetery in the Bronx (inspired by the Woodlawn Cemetery), A Fine and Private Place proves that love can be an affirmation of life.

A Fine and Private Place has a book and lyrics by Erik Haagensen and music by Richard Isen. Musical direction is by Milton Granger. Scenic design is by James Morgan, costume design is by Pamela Scofield, lighting design is by Jeff Croiter and sound design is by Eric McMiller.
