Bell-Stevens & Kemp to be Honored at 4th Annual IWJ Festival 4/23-24

International Women in Jazz presents its 4th Annual Women In Jazz Festival, continuing this April 23 and 24. Advance ticket purchases are now available online at internationalwomeninjazz.com. Tickets are $25 per day or $45 for both days.

On Friday, April 23rd from 6pm - 9pm, the Festival presents Karrin Allyson (vocalist, pianist, composer), the Karen Rodriquez Latin Jazz Ensemble, the IWJ Jazz Chorus (featuring Musical Director Dona Carter), the Mary LouWilliams Centennial presented by Father Peter O'Brien, and Youth in Action - The DeBerry Quintet. This event will be held at Saint Peter's Church, Lexington Ave & E. 54th St., NYC.

On Saturday, April 24th from 6pm -9 pm, the Festival will honor Robin Bell-Stevens, President and CEO of Jazzmobile, and Emme Kemp, jazz vocalist, pianist and composer. The event will feature Toshiko Akiyoshi (pianist, composer/arranger), the Jan Leder Quartet, Sally Placksin (moderator, author, public radio producer), Youth in Action - Tyler Holloway, with jazz performances, jazz exhibits, seminars, and more. This event will also take place at Saint Peter's Church, Lexington Ave & E. 54th St., NYC
