CYT Atlanta's production of School of Rock opens this weekend! CYT has a cast of 65 talented students that have been rehearsing nights and weekends since January 2017 and are now ready to take to the stage! School of Rock has music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Glenn Slater. It is based on the 2003 film of the same name and is currently being performed on Broadway.

The show is about a passionate rock singer and guitarist (Dewey Finn) who is currently out of work. He pretends to be a his best friend and roommate (Ned Schneebly) who is offered a substitute teacher position at an expensive and prestigious prep school. While intending to do the bare minimum to earn a pay check Dewey discovers his students have musical talent. He forms a band comprised of his fifth grade class, so that he can win the Battle of the Bands.

CYT's production of School of Rock is directed by the talented Anna Corinne Kilbride and produced by Connie Mullenax Matthews, Managing Director.

Shows will be held at Mount Pisgah (2850 Old Alabama Rd, Johns Creek, GA 30022) April 27-30 and May 5- 6, 2017. Tickets can be purchased online at https://www.cytatlanta.com .
